Fontaines D.C., an acclaimed Irish post-punk band formed in Dublin in 2014, has swiftly risen to prominence with their raw, poetic sound and thought-provoking lyrics. The band bonded over poetry and self-released singles before signing with Partisan Records (PJ Harvey, IDLES, Cigarettes After Sex …) in 2018​​. Their debut album Dogrel, released in April 2019, received critical acclaim, winning Album of the Year on Rough Trade’s website, BBC Radio 6 Music, and nominations for the Mercury Prize and the Choice Music Prize.
