Description

We are practically married, my orchestra and me. I can't do without them, and they can't do without me. When we travel, we really have an incredible amount of fun together. In addition to the professional way we work together, this capacity to have fun is exceptionally important to me. After all, if you can't live together in joy and harmony, how can you expect to give beautiful concerts?

The Johann Strauss Orchestra was founded in 1987. Following six months of rehearsals, we gave our first concert on January 1, 1988. The orchestra began with only twelve members, but now there are 60, sometimes even 75 on very large stages.
