Little Stories Without Words consists of three miniatures in which animator Brice Coupey, accompanied by contrabassist Jean-Luc Ponthieux, creates a world full of poetry, humour and surprise.
It is a masterly reinterpretation of classic commedia dell'arte techniques, bringing to life hand puppet characters placed in situations of physical comedy. An animation bravura that fits into the field of contemporary reinterpretation of canonical puppetry techniques and proves their relevance in the field of contemporary art.
L'Alinea was founded in May 2002 and is based in Montreuil. It is a melting pot for experimentation and encounters with artists, directors, musicians and visual artists from the puppetry world and beyond. The company's artistic focus is mainly on contemporary authors, hand puppets and music.
