Paper Theatre (Festival LUTKE)

Description

Paper Theatre is a contemporary circus performance that uses the animation of paper objects, clowning and physical theatre to harness the power of imagination to alleviate the burden of loneliness and make space for poetic and dreamlike spaces.
The animator builds paper puppets on stage and then uses helium balloons, fans and tape to bring them to life and place them in different situations, all set in the context of an exuberant birthday party.

Rauxa is a Catalan company led by Xavi Sánchez and Analia Serenelli, circus artists who specialise in object theatre. They founded the company in 2018 with the aim of creating their own universe in which to express their tragicomic yet poetic vision of life. They have already toured all over the world, including France, Belgium, Croatia, Switzerland, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Spain and Serbia.
