Course description

Advanced I: Topics: spending holidays and vacations, facts about Slovenia, trips around Slovenia, hotel services, memories of school, education system, learning the language, describing work and work experience, communication at work, employment of foreigners in Slovenia, the internet, expressing opinions, newspaper news, text messages, writing more complex e-mails. Grammar: verb tense, infinitive and nominative, strengthening of conjugations, past and future tense, conjunctions, personal pronouns, modal expressions, conditionals.

Advanced II: Subjects: language learning, sports and sports fans, cooking and recipes, pets, writing and reading more complex texts. Grammar: new verbs and verb conjugation, verb conjugation, verb conjugation, past and future tense, conjunctions, personal pronouns, modal expressions, conditionals.

Advanced III: Subjects: culture, consumer electronics, volunteering, writing and reading more complex texts. Grammar: adverbs, adverbs of place, peculiarities of feminine nouns, peculiarities of neuter nouns, matching the numeral with the noun and with the verb, reflexives, conjunctions, interrogative and interrogative pronouns, demonstrative pronouns, neuter pronouns, indefinite pronouns, modal expressions Modal expressions, interrogative pronouns, interrogative pronouns, interrogative pronouns.

After Advanced I, II, III, candidates are qualified for the examinations at BASIC LEVEL (A2B1).

Lecturer Vera Šeško is a professor of Slovenian with 30 years of experience in the field of youth and adult education. After graduating from the Faculty of Philosophy in Ljubljana, she worked in a secondary vocational school, for a while she also worked in a grammar school, and at the same time she taught Slovene to foreigners on a group and individual basis. In addition to being a born teacher and having a great ear for people, she has also gained a lot of experience as a lecturer. According to the participants of our Slovenian for foreigners courses, she is a master of her profession.
